Turn sticker time into story time! Our newest favorite afternoon activity combines stickers and stories. With the help of themed stickers, we create our own adventure story. We’ve used dinosaurs, flowers and cars and trains to keep our afternoons busy and educational. One of my favorite ways to teach about the Jewish holidays is to use stickers to help tell the story of the holiday. With Shavuot coming up, I’ve used flower stickers to help decorate Har Sinai.
Materials needed:
Construction paper
Themed stickers (pick stickers that help tell a Shavuot story!)
Black Sharpee Marker
Directions:
Pick your Jewish holiday. The start of a New Year? Pick some apple and bee stickers to talk about apples and honey! Chanukah time? Use some candle stickers? Shavuot? Use some flower stickers! Sketch out the scene for your adventure on construction paper, and have your kids add the stickers to their adventure. When you’re done, display! Bring the picture to dinner and have your kid tell everyone about the story she or he wrote!
