These have been Pesach breakfast in our family for 50 years.


1 c matza meal

¾ c milk

3 apples, peeled, cored and chopped into small pieces

3 eggs

2 Tbsp oil for frying



  1. Mix all ingredients together.
  2. Ladel the batter into the pan, like pancakes.
  3. Fry until golden brown on each side.
  4. Serve with cinnamon and sugar mixture (1/2 c sugar and 1 Tbsp cinnamon).


Makes 12-15 fritters.
