This dessert is a sophisticated turn on a standard apple crisp.



4 large apples, cored and sliced. (leave the peel on)
2 large pears, sliced and with peel on.
2 handfuls of dried blueberries, dried cherries or dried cranberries
2 Tbsp lemon juice


½ c flour
½ c brown sugar
½ c oatmeal
2 handfuls of walnuts or pecans
1 tsp each of cinnamon, nutmeg and cardamom
1 tsp vanilla
1/3 c (100 grams) of melted butter


1. Mix all the ingredients and place in a shallow pan.

2. Combine all topping ingredients and mix until crumbly. Distribute evenly over the bottom mixture.

3. Bake uncovered at 375 for 40 minutes.
