This week’s Torah reading introduces us to the first seven of the ten plagues. Frogs are the second plague to hit Egypt. And while plagues don’t usually translate well into baked goods, we’re happy to present Frog Cookies this week!

Use your favorite sugar cookie recipe or use the one below:

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups butter, softened
2 c white sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
5 c all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt

Directions:

  1. Refrigerate for 1 hour.
  2. Preheat the oven to 400. Use frog-shaped cookie cutters to make your frogs. Bake for 6-8 minutes.
  3. Decorate with green icing! Use chocolate chips for the eyes.

Tip – you can find frog cookie cutters in your local Michaels, most craft stores as well as Amazon.
