Sponge painting is an easy way to get kids excited about Rosh HaShana.
Materials:
Brown construction paper
Black marker
Scissors
Sponges
Brown, red, yellow or blue paints
Directions:
Sketch out a shofar (or download our shofar template here – right click on the image above and press save image).
Cut a regular kitchen sponge into six pieces.
Dip the sponge into the paints and dab on to the shofar.
You can play around with colors, textures and shapes of the sponges.
Variation: instead of sponges and paints, buy bingo daubers and use those on the shofar.
