This week’s Torah portion talks about the spies who scouted out the Land of Israel. Upon their return, the spies reported that the grapes were so big that they required two people to carry them.

For this week’s Torah Treat, you can make a centerpiece for your Shabbat table. You’ll need a (large!) cluster of grapes, two candy sticks, and two toy figures to “carry” the bunch. The Torah portion also mentions that the pomegranates and figs were plentiful. Feel free to add those to your centerpiece too!
When talking about the story of the spies with your kids, consider discussing the importance of telling the truth, perception and getting over your fears.
