In this week’s reading, Vayishlach, our Torah Treat tells the tale of Yaakov crossing the river with his wives, his children and all of their belongings. Yaakov crosses the river and is met by his brother Esav. There were a lot of characters involved, and the “little hands” in this house had a great time re-enacting this story.
The field: any cake, frosted with green frosting for the field and blue frosting for the river that runs through it. Our field is surrounded by candy flowers.
Yaakov, his wife and children: blue and pink bubble people
Yaakov’s wealth: gummy bears and silver chocolate coins
Esav: One big red gummy bear
Esav’s army: cinnamon gummy bears
