This cake is always a show stopper!
Ingredients:
1 tsp sugar
¼ c lukewarm water
1 Tbsp yeast
1 c lukewarm water
1 c oil
1/3 c sugar
2 eggs
4 c flour
Filling:
¼ c cocoa and 1 c sugar (add more or less to taste)
OR
1 Tbsp cinnamon and 1 c sugar
Topping:
1 c icing sugar
1 Tbsp water
Dissolve first three ingredients. Add the rest of the ingredients. Cover and let the dough rise for ten minutes. Knead. Put into a greased bowl. Let double.
Roll dough 1/3rd at a time.
Sprinkle with filling. Roll into jelly roll. Cut into 2 inch pieces. Stand in greased spring pan or tube pan.
Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
